How will the proposed "40-hour" rule for IRIS affect you?

The Wisconsin Dept. of Health Services is working on a 40-hour rule that will limit the number of hours that IRIS participants may have individual staff work for them. At this time, they are working on revising that rule (see this page for more info).

How will a "40-hour" rule affect you and your caregiver staff? What are your thoughts on this proposed rule?

I was fortunate in that this rule came into effect just as I was starting to hire my own staff, so I planned for it accordingly when I began hiring/scheduling. I can surely see where it'd cause major issues for others though.

Fortunately, I am not affected by the 40 hour rule. and the agency that works for me is considerate of the 40 hour week.
