I like the fact that the SD Network includes a focus on elders. I know that in the aging field people often use the term "empowerment" instead of self determination. I'd be interested to know if anyone in the SD Network is hearingexciting examples of WIelders directing their own lives and/or examples of Family Care or IRIS supporting elders to experience more self determination in their lives. I'm particularly keen to hear examples that go beyond hiring your own in-home workers. Any responses?
