Charles Schumer, D-N.Y. is proposing a program through the Justice Dept. to distribute tracking devices to parents who are worried about their children with autism and other developmental disabilities who wander. Tracking devices can be worn as bracelets or on their shoes. Parents can notify the company supplying the tracking device if the person goes missing. Read the whole story here on Disability Scoop.
What do you think about this idea? Is it helpful? Or does it infringe on the person's rights?
