Self-determination looks a little different for everyone. We want to know what self-determination looks like in your life. Comment below by November 1st to be entered into a drawing for a $25 gift card!
Self-determination is a person's wants and actions towards keeping their independence to better their life.
Self-determination means that you get to choose how you want your life to look, not how someone else feels it should look.
Self-determination means to me keep writing despite the government is destroying the independence of the disabled.
Self-determination means to me producing a play in February, publishing my eighth book early next year, living in my apartment for the next twenty years, and finding her. She is the missing piece in my life.
self-determination means the ability to make my wants and needs known to those who can help me, even if my communication skills are non-standard. It also means helping others in the disability community to find and use their voice to get things done.
