@ Virtual

Learn about the requirements, new policy, and EVV next steps for home health care services and nurse supervisory code 99509.

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) is hosting a public forum regarding electronic visit verification (EVV) for home health care services (HHCS) and nurse supervisory code 99509 on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, from 1 to 3 p.m. Central time (CT).

EVV will be required in Wisconsin on January 1, 2024, for HHCS and personal care nurse supervisory service code 99509. EVV is required by federal law. All states must require EVV system use to maintain full federal Medicaid funding.

Home health care providers, including independent nurses, are encouraged to attend the forum to learn more about the EVV requirement, new policy, and next steps.
