Webinar: Strengthening and Maturing Accessibility Training and Testing Programs within the Federal Government
@ Online
Federal agencies are required to provide accessible information and communication technology (ICT) developed, maintained, used, and procured for people with disabilities under Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act. Many agencies develop training and testing programs to ensure that their employees know how to create, procure, use, and maintain accessible ICT.
The next webinar in the U.S. Access Board's Section 508 Best Practices Webinar Series will take place Tuesday, January 24 from 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. (CT) and is intended for federal employees who are responsible for those training and testing programs. Presenters will discuss ways to establish and improve upon the foundation of such training and testing programs, including reviews of key elements for accessibility, important features for ICT testing, best methods for ensuring conformance, and effective resources and tools for evaluating website accessibility and resolving access issues.
