In early March, the Wisconsin Dept. of Health Services (DHS) will release its draft Concept Paper, laying out its plan for implementing the changes in the long term care (LTC) system made by the legislature in the 2015-2017 budget. On March 7, there will be public hearings in Eau Claire and Madison for people to comment on the Concept Paper. In early April, the legislature’s Joint Finance Committee will vote to approve or disapprove the Concept Paper.
In anticipation of these events, the Wisconsin Long Term Care Coalition has pulled together the best ideas from people with disabilities, older adults, advocates and other stakeholders to present the Coalition’s views to DHS and the legislature. These ideas are contained in the (recently released) Stakeholders’ Blueprint for Long Term Care Redesign.
In Control Wisconsin has organized this webinar to provide an update on the current and upcoming developments in the state’s transition to a new LTC system. It will also showcase the Stakeholders’ Blueprint and cover the main ideas contained in it. There will be ample time for questions and discussion after the presentation.
