BPDD is holding a webinar on January 9th from 3-4:30 PM on the possible federal threats to Medicaid this spring.
We will talk about:
- the ideas to cut Medicaid in documents that Congress and the President are looking at as they put together the federal budget and legislation;
- what they could mean for Wisconsin and for people with developmental disabilities and their families; and
- Steps you can take to talk about the importance of Medicaid with policymakers
National disability advocates and media reports think a federal bill will be introduced early next year that will include cuts to Medicaid. Federal changes to Medicaid will impact state budgets and state Medicaid programs (like Family Care and IRIS).
We do not know what will be in the federal bill, but the same ideas are repeated across media and health care coverage.
