IRIS Waiver Renewal Listening Session

IRIS Waiver Renewal Listening Session

Wednesday July 31 2024, 1:00 PM - Wednesday July 31 2024, 3:00 PM
@ Virtual

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) is renewing the IRIS waiver. A waiver is a special set of rules that allows us to have Medicaid programs like the IRIS program. For IRIS, it includes the 1915(c) waiver. With it, we can fund services and supports to help IRIS participants stay in their homes and communities.

We must renew the waiver every five years. This is a chance for us to make the IRIS program better between 2026 and 2031. We can improve policy, services, and other things that can make the programs better for participants.

DHS is hosting two online public input sessions. IRIS participants, family, caregivers and providers, IRIS contract staff, advocates, and other partners are invited.

During the input sessions, you:

  • Will learn about the waiver renewal.
  • Can choose to share your ideas for improving the program.
  • Can learn how to get involved in the process.

You must register for the sessions if you want to join. Click the links below for the event you want to attend and fill out the registration form. Sign language interpreters and captioning will be provided during the input sessions. The presentation slides will be available in English, Spanish, and Hmong. If you need any other type of access to take part in the sessions, such as live foreign language translation, please request it at least one week prior to input sessions when registering.

Wednesday, July 31, 1-3 p.m.
