In this interactive workshop, we invite you to explore the wide array of high and low-tech apps and devices tailored to enhance mental health and substance use management across all age groups. From aiding executive functioning to managing stress, anxiety, depression, PTSD, and fostering organization and communication skills, AT offers invaluable resources. Join us as we delve into the diverse landscape of AT solutions, encompassing task reminders, emergency assistance, medication management, and neurodiversity support.

1. Identify both the barriers and benefits associated with accessing AT devices and apps for mental health and neurodiversity.
2. Explore three specific AT devices that hold potential in facilitating mental health and substance use recovery journeys.
3. Gain insights into the considerations essential for guiding individuals in selecting and effectively utilizing AT solutions to meet their unique needs.
Speaker Bio:
Aimee Sterk (she/her), LMSW, is Program Director of the Michigan Assistive Technology Program. Aimee is a queer, autistic woman with multiple disabilities and has been working and living in the aging and disability community for over 20 years. She is also a mom to two vibrant, autistic children.
Laura Hall, MSW is a dedicated advocate with over two decades of invaluable experience within the disability community. For the past 12 years, she has been instrumental in her roles at Michigan Disability Rights Coalition, currently serving as an AT Specialist for the Michigan Assistive Technology Program.
