New Research Funding on Mobile Applications For Use By People With Disabilities
Proposals due Friday, June 7, 2024
ACL's National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR) is announcing a new funding opportunity for the Disability and Rehabilitation Research Projects (DRRP) program. The purpose of the DRRP program is to plan and conduct research, demonstration projects, trainings, and related activities (including international activities) to develop methods, procedures, and rehabilitation technology that maximize the full inclusion and integration into society, employment, independent living, family support, and economic and social self-sufficiency of individuals with disabilities. The DRRP on Mobile Applications For Use By People With Disabilities will conduct development and knowledge translation activities to facilitate the efficient development and distribution of mobile applications for use by people with disabilities. Mobile applications developed and distributed under this priority must be used to improve outcomes among people with disabilities in one or more of NIDILRR’s outcome domains: (1) community living and participation, (2) health and function, and (3) employment.
