The Medical College of Wisconsin took on a project instigated by Dr. Kenneth Lee who also had his major occupation with the VA. The project is EveryBODY Plays! . The event that began all of this was the EveryBODY Plays! Adaptive Sports and Recreation Expo. In 2014 and 2015, it grew to over 60 partners in the project and over 50 interactive activities in the event. That is a wow! factor. Over 50 activities on the grounds at one time at Nathan Hale High School in West Allis.
With this achievement, we seek to pick up that milestone and re-organize it to grow all over Wisconsin. Wouldn't that be cool to have our ADRCs and other disability agencies able to present to us a guide with over 50 opportunities to choose from with a few hours of a ride?
Let's do this!
With building a network of a Mighty Million strong across Wisconsin, we can assure that over 50 opportunities are well documented and tangible to people with disabilities from our over 72 counties. That is the point: We need to help our counties have better compilation of what is going on in the greater community. This is something that we have the opportunity to organize in major part from our homes. With using these online tools, we can work together residentially to do this. Are you in to plug in and share what you know from your life on what is working well for people with disabilities?
