This team is hard at work to ensure laws and regulations regarding accessibility are being met by area businesses and government entities as well as improving places that are currently not accessible. The team also works on trying to change current laws regarding access and accommodations and making sure they are being enforced.
This is your chance to hop on the bandwagon to take a tour of the Fiserv Forum! This will occur during our regularly scheduled ADA Team meeting on July 17.
We are to show up between 9:30 AM and 9:45 AM at the side door of the Forum, on Highland off South 6thStreet. We will be going through security screening, so don’t even think of bringing in a weapon, not even mace or pepper spray. It is extremely important you RSVP so I know who will be coming.
Brian is also going to arrange for a carpool from IndependenceFirst at 9:15 AM (be there at 9!), so if you’d like to be in the carpool, please let him know. Brian will be reserving the agency van, and Julie can drive two in her car. The agency van is accessible, and can hold two wheelchairs.
Finally, some people are interested in having lunch after the tour – it’s our annual tradition every summer when we go on a field trip. Don’t worry, if you participate in the carpool but don’t plan to do lunch, he’ll make sure there’s a way for you to return back to the office.
