Door County Parents in Partnership

Friday November 4 2016, 6:00 PM - Saturday November 5 2016, 5:00 PM
@ Landmark Resort, Egg Harbor WI

Parents in Partnership is a leadership development opportunity for parents of children with disabilities ages 6-14. Parents and other caregivers meet together five times during the year to share their family stories, challenges, joys, and triumphs of raising their children.  Parents in Partnership assists parents to: learn about valuable community and statewide resources, plan ahead for their child and family, enjoy time with other parents, learn more within the topics of: health care, education, policy making, inclusion and self-determination as well as other subject matter of interest. Families are also given the opportunity to strengthen partnerships between the many professionals they interact with on behalf of their children, and to work on their own family or community project.

All trainings are FREE of charge.  Overnights, meals, and resources are paid for with a DPI IDEA Discretionary Grant, Wisconsin Statewide Parent Educator Initiative - WSPEI.

Door County Parents in Partnership training will be taking place beginning November 4 & 5, 2016.

PIP starts at 5:00 p.m. Friday and ends by 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Participants must attend ALL five sessions.  The other four sessions are:
