This is a terrific article in the Washington Post written by Robert L. Burgdorf Jr. about why he wrote the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).  It's very interesting to learn about the history and challenges behind it.

I am loving retirement.  I can't remember feeling so relaxed and "In control" before.  After a year of travel, reading, and generally enjoying life, I've started to do some consulting.  For the next six months I'm handling marketing and fund raising for Leadership Wisconsin.   I hope you can come to the conference in Green Bay April 24-25: conference.leadershipwisconsin.org  I never want to work full time again, but it's fun to do enough to keep in the loop and see colleagues.  If you hear of anyone who needs a writer/editor/speaker/trainer/baker, let me know.
